The Bently 3500/46M Hydraulic Monitor is a critical condition monitoring device for hydroelectric power plants. It is available as part of the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Mechanical Condition Monitoring System, which provides an efficient and reliable equipment condition monitoring solution for hydroelectric power plants.
The 3500/46M Hydro Monitor is a four-channel monitor that accepts inputs from displacement sensors and the 3500 stator-mounted air gap sensor (SMAG). It is capable of processing these signals for a wide range of vibration and displacement information and comparing it with user-programmable alarm signals. By combining shaft clearance variations with NX amplitudes, the monitor is able to actuate safety pin failure alarms to ensure safe equipment operation.

Each channel of the 3500/46M Hydronic Monitor can be programmed with the 3500 Frame Configuration Software to perform different monitoring functions. Channels can be programmed in pairs and each channel can have different or identical configurations to meet different monitoring needs. This high degree of flexibility and configurability allows the monitor to be adapted to a variety of complex hydropower environments.
