Description
GE Hydran 201Ti Mark IV Transformer oil gas monitoring system.
The GE Hydran 201Ti Mark IV Transformer oil gas monitoring system is a critical tool for maintaining the health and reliability of transformers, which are key components of the electrical grid. This system uses Dissolved Gas-in-oil Analysis (DGA) to monitor the health of transformers, providing early warnings of potential failures and helping to minimize the risk of unplanned outages.
Key features of the Hydran 201Ti Mark IV include:
A composite-gas sensor that provides the “Hydran gas value” using fuel cell technology.
It responds 100% to Hydrogen (a general fault gas) and is also sensitive to Carbon Monoxide (caused by overheated paper), Acetylene (from arcing), and Ethylene
(from overheated oil), thus covering all the main transformer failure root causes .
The monitoring unit mounts on a single valve and uses Dynamic Oil Sampling, eliminating the need for a pump or extra piping to connect to different valves .
The system includes configurable alarms that raise an alarm when an abnormal level of fault gas is detected. Alarms can be set on gas ppm levels or on gas rate of change over an hour or a day .
